The Kara Udyan has been designed as resurgence of marsh land of Badshahi Fort of the Afghans including jogging trails, seating areas and two ghats. All native floral trees – Palash, Jarul, Bokul, Kanchon, Shonalu, Lal Shonail, Kathalchapa etc. and aquatic plants will be planted to give back the community a seasonal foreground in the middle of the urban fabric. Placed at a very important node, Kara Udyan connects Lalbagh and Jail area. The water moat disconnects the gated jail museum from this pocket park.
